The weather is nice - it's sunny!
Québec has re-awakened with the sun and the flip of a calendar page. While we hunched beneath our umbrellas for the past month, spring subtly crept in around the edges. Crocuses faded, and have been replaced by a splendid display of tulip diversity. Fruit-bearing trees and shrubs are overwhelmed with blossoms, and we've discovered we will harvest from our own yard this year - red and white grapes, plums, and asparagus. As the leaves and blossoms kicked into high gear, so did the tourists. Last weekend, while meandering through Vieux Québec (Old Québec - the area inside the walls), it felt as though each stone had transformed into a tourist! No one notices our basic French now - c'est normal!
The rest of this post is a "gallery post" - a petite collection of spring in Québec for your viewing pleasure.
Amusez-vous!
Enjoy!
